तत एकां गुलिकाम् अभिमन्त्रयित्वा यत्र एतन मन्त्रेण क्षिपति तत् सर्वं प्रस्वापयति ॥
Wherever one of the pills is thrown, chanting the above mantra, there the whole animal life falls into deep slumber.
english translation
tata ekAM gulikAm abhimantrayitvA yatra etana mantreNa kSipati tat sarvaM prasvApayati ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptएतेन एव कल्पेन श्वा विधः शल्यकं त्रि कालं त्रिश्वेतम् असंकीर्ण आदहने निखानयेत् ॥
Following the same procedure, one should separately bury in cremation grounds three white and three black dart-like hairs (salyaka) of a porcupine.
english translation
etena eva kalpena zvA vidhaH zalyakaM tri kAlaM trizvetam asaMkIrNa Adahane nikhAnayet ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptद्वितीयस्यां चतुर्दश्याम् उद्धृत्य आदहन भस्मना सह यत्र एतेन मन्त्रेण क्षिपति तत् सर्वं प्रस्वापयति ॥
When, having on the next fourteenth day taken them out, one throws them together with the ashes of a burnt corpse, chanting the above mantra, the whole animal life in that place falls into deep slumber.
english translation
dvitIyasyAM caturdazyAm uddhRtya Adahana bhasmanA saha yatra etena mantreNa kSipati tat sarvaM prasvApayati ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसुवर्ण पुष्पीं ब्रह्माणीं ब्रह्माणं च कुश ध्वजम् । सर्वाश् च देवता वन्दे वन्दे सर्वांश् च तापसान् ॥
I bow to the goddess Suvarnapushpi and to Brahmáni, to the god Bráhma, and to Kusadhvaja; I bow to all serpents and goddesses; I bow to all ascetics.
english translation
suvarNa puSpIM brahmANIM brahmANaM ca kuza dhvajam । sarvAz ca devatA vande vande sarvAMz ca tApasAn ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptवशं मे ब्राह्मणा यान्तु भूमि पालाश् च क्षत्रियाः । वशं वैश्याश् च शूद्राश् च वशतां यान्तु मे सदा ॥
May all Bráhmans and Kshattriyas come under my power; may all Vaisyas and, Súdras be at my beck and call,
english translation
vazaM me brAhmaNA yAntu bhUmi pAlAz ca kSatriyAH । vazaM vaizyAz ca zUdrAz ca vazatAM yAntu me sadA ॥
