The application of the above mantra is as follows.

त्रि रात्र उपोषितः कृष्ण चतुर् दश्यां पुष्य योगिन्यां श्व पाकी हस्ताद् विलख अवलेखनं क्रीणीयात् ॥
Having fasted for three nights, one should, on the fourteenth day of the dark half of the month, the day being assigned to the star of Pushya, purchase from a low-caste woman (svapáki) vilikhávalekhana (finger nails?).

तन् माषैः सह कण्डोलिकायां कृत्वा असंकीर्ण आदहने निखानयेत् ॥
Having kept them in a basket (kandolika), one should bury them apart in cremation grounds.

द्वितीयस्यां चतुर्दश्याम् उद्धृत्य कुमार्या पेषयित्वा गुलिकाः कारयेत् ॥
Having unearthed them on the next fourteenth day, one should reduce them to a paste with kumári (aloe ?) and prepare small pills out of the paste.
