चातुर्वर्ण्य रक्षा अर्थम् औपनिषदिकम् अधर्मिष्ठेषु प्रयुञ्जीत ॥
IN order to protect the institution of the four castes, such measures as are treated of in secret science shall be applied against the wicked.

hk transliteration by Sanscriptकाल कूट आदिर् विष वर्गः श्रद्धेय देश वेष शिल्प भाषा अभिजन अपदेशैः कुब्ज वामन किरात मूक बधिर जड अन्धच् छद्मभिर् म्लेच्छ जातीयैर् अभिप्रेतैः स्त्रीभिः पुम्भिश् च पर शरीर उपभोगेष्व् अवधातव्यः ॥
Through the instrumentality of such men or women of Mlechchha class as can put on disguises, appropriate to different countries, arts, or professions, or as can put on the appearance of a hump-backed, dwarfish, or short-sized person, or of a dumb, deaf, idiot, or blind person, kálakúta and other manifold poisons should be administered in the diet and other physical enjoyments of the wicked.

kAla kUTa Adir viSa vargaH zraddheya deza veSa zilpa bhASA abhijana apadezaiH kubja vAmana kirAta mUka badhira jaDa andhac chadmabhir mleccha jAtIyair abhipretaiH strIbhiH pumbhiz ca para zarIra upabhogeSv avadhAtavyaH ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptराज क्रीडा भाण्ड निधान द्रव्य उपब्भोगेषु गूढाः शस्त्र निधानं कुर्युः, सत्त्र आजीविनश् च रात्रि चारिणो अग्नि जीविनश् च अग्नि निधानम् ॥
Spies lying in wait or living as inmates (in the same house) may make use of weapons on occasions of royal sports or musical and other entertainments. Spies, under the disguise of night-walkers (rátrichári) or of fire-keepers (agni-jívi) may set fire (to the houses of the wicked).

rAja krIDA bhANDa nidhAna dravya upabbhogeSu gUDhAH zastra nidhAnaM kuryuH, sattra AjIvinaz ca rAtri cAriNo agni jIvinaz ca agni nidhAnam ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptचित्र भेक कौण्डिन्यक कृकण पञ्च कुष्ठ शत पदी चूर्णम् उच्चि दिण्ग कम्बली शत कन्द इध्म कृकलास चूर्णं गृह गोलिक अन्ध अहि कक्र कण्टक पूति कीट गोमारिका चूर्णं भल्लातक अवल्गु जर सम्युक्तं सद्यः प्राण हरम्, एतेषां वा धूमः ॥
The powder (prepared from the carcass) of animals such as chitra (?), bheka (frog), kaundinyaka (?), krikana (perdix sylvatika), panchakushtha (?), and satapadi, (centipede); or of animals such as uchchitinga (crab), kambali (?), krikalása (lizard) with the powder of the bark of satakanda (Phyalis Flexuosa); or of animals such as grihagaulika (a small house-lizard), andháhika (a blind snake), krakanthaka (a kind of partridge), pútikíta (a stinking insect), and gomárika (?) combined with the juice of bhallátaka (Semecarpus Anacardium), and valgaka (?);--the smoke caused by burning the above powders causes instantaneous death.

citra bheka kauNDinyaka kRkaNa paJca kuSTha zata padI cUrNam ucci diNga kambalI zata kanda idhma kRkalAsa cUrNaM gRha golika andha ahi kakra kaNTaka pUti kITa gomArikA cUrNaM bhallAtaka avalgu jara samyuktaM sadyaH prANa haram, eteSAM vA dhUmaH ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptकीटो वा अन्यतमस् तप्तः कृष्ण सर्प प्रियङ्गुभिः । शोषयेद् एष सम्योगः सद्यः प्राण हरो मतः ॥
Any of the (above) insects may be heated with a black snake and priyangu (panic seed) and reduced to powder. This mixture, when burnt, causes instantaneous death.

kITo vA anyatamas taptaH kRSNa sarpa priyaGgubhiH । zoSayed eSa samyogaH sadyaH prANa haro mataH ॥
