He shall avoid such large profits as will harm the people.

sthUlam api ca lAbhaM prajAnAm aupaghAtikaM vArayet ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअजस्र पण्यानां काल उपरोधं संकुल दोषं वा न उत्पादयेत् ॥
There shall be no restriction to the time of sale of those commodities for which there is frequent demand; nor shall they be subject to the evils of centralisation (sankuladosha).
english translation
ajasra paNyAnAM kAla uparodhaM saMkula doSaM vA na utpAdayet ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptबहु मुखं वा राज पण्यं वैदेहकाः कृत अर्घं विक्रीणीरन् ॥
Or pedlars may sell the merchandise of the king at a fixed price in many markets and pay necessary compensation (vaidharana) proportional to the loss entailed upon it (chhedánurúpam).

bahu mukhaM vA rAja paNyaM vaidehakAH kRta arghaM vikrINIran ॥

The amount of vyáji due on commodities sold by cubical measure is one-sixteenth of the quantity (shodasabhágo mánavyáji).
