अभिनीतं प्रभा युक्तं संस्थानम् अधुरं समम् । मनो नेत्र अभिरामं च तपनीय गुणाः स्मृताः ॥

pleasing when worn as an ornament, not dazzling though glittering, sweet in its uniformity of mass, and pleasing the mind and eyes,---these are the qualities of tapaníya, pure gold.
