इतो अनर्थ इतरतो अर्थ संशय इत्य् उभयतो अनर्थ अर्थ संशया ॥
When there is the apprehension of harm from one side and when the prospect of acquiring wealth from another side is involved in doubt, it is termed doubt of harm and wealth from two sides.
english translation
ito anartha itarato artha saMzaya ity ubhayato anartha artha saMzayA ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतस्यां पूर्वम् अनर्थं साधयेत्, तत् सिद्धाव् अर्थ संशयम् ॥
In this, he should ward off the harm first; when this is done, he should attempt to acquire the doubtful wealth.
