Spies under the guise of friends may inform foreigners: "Mind, this man is desirous of deceiving you with the help of his own spies who are disguised as traitors."

sattriNo mitra vyaJjanA vA bAhyAnAM cAram eSAM brUyuH "ayaM vo rAjA dUSya vyaJjanair atisaMdhAtu kAmaH, budhyadhvam" iti ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptदूष्येषु वा दूष्य व्यञ्जनाः प्रणिहिता दूष्यान् बाह्यैर् भेदयेयुः, बाह्यान् वा दूष्यैः ॥
Spies under the garb of traitors may mix with traitors and separate them from foreigners, or foreigners from local traitors.

dUSyeSu vA dUSya vyaJjanAH praNihitA dUSyAn bAhyair bhedayeyuH, bAhyAn vA dUSyaiH ॥

Fiery spies may make friendship with traitors and kill them with weapons or poison.
