विपरीतः प्रकोपक इति ॥

मन्त्रिणाम् उपदेशाल् लाभो अलभ्यमानः कोपको भवति "अयम् अस्माभिः क्षय व्ययौ ग्राहितः" इति ॥
that profit which is received at the advice of ministers excites hatred, for they think: „This king has reduced our party and impoverished us."

दूष्य मन्त्रिणाम् अनादराल् लाभो लभ्यमानः कोपको भवति "सिद्ध अर्थो अयम् अस्मान् विनाशयिष्यति" इति ॥
That profit which is received without caring for the opinion of treacherous ministers excites hatred, for they think: "Having made the profit, this king destroys us.

विपरीतः प्रसादकः ॥
But that which is of the reverse nature pleases.

इति प्रसादक कोपकौ व्याख्यातौ
