दैवत उपहार श्राद्ध प्रहवणेषु वा रस विद्धम् अन्न पानम् अवसृज्य ॥
or on the occasion of feeding the people in honour of gods or of ancestors or in some festival, he may make use of poisoned rice and water, and having conspired with his enemy's traitors, he may strike the enemy with his concealed army.
english translation
daivata upahAra zrAddha prahavaNeSu vA rasa viddham anna pAnam avasRjya ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptकृत उपजापो दूष्य व्यञ्जनैर् निष्पत्य गूढ सैन्यो अभिहन्यात् ॥
Once the seeds of rebellion have been sown by secret agents disguised as disaffected subjects , the king should emerge with a concealed force and strike the enemy.

kRta upajApo dUSya vyaJjanair niSpatya gUDha sainyo abhihanyAt ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptएवं गृहीत दुर्गो वा प्राश्य प्राशं चैत्यम् उपस्थाप्य दैवत प्रतिमाच् छिद्रं प्रविश्य आसीत, गूढ भित्तिं वा, दैवत प्रतिमा युक्तं वा भूमि गृहम् ॥
or when he is surrounded in his fort, he may lie concealed in a hole bored into the body of an idol after eating sacramental food and setting up an altar; or he may lie in a secret hole in a wall, or in a hole made in the body of an idol in an underground chamber.
english translation
evaM gRhIta durgo vA prAzya prAzaM caityam upasthApya daivata pratimAc chidraM pravizya AsIta, gUDha bhittiM vA, daivata pratimA yuktaM vA bhUmi gRham ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptविस्मृते सुरुङ्गया रात्रौ राज आवासम् अनुप्रविश्य सुप्तम् अमित्रं हन्यात् ॥
and when he is forgotten, he may get out of his concealment through a tunnel, and, entering into the palace, slay his enemy while sleeping.

vismRte suruGgayA rAtrau rAja AvAsam anupravizya suptam amitraM hanyAt ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptयन्त्र विश्लेषणं वा विश्लेष्य अधस्ताद् अवपातयेत् ॥
or loosening the fastenings of a machine (yantra), he may let it fall on his enemy
