Arthashastra
स चेत् संधौ न अवतिष्ठेत, ब्रूयाद् एनं "इमे शत्रु षड् वर्ग वशगा राजानो विनष्टाः, तेषाम् अनात्मवतां न अर्हसि मार्गम् अनुगन्तुम् ॥
IF the enemy does not keep peace, he should be told :-- "These kings perished by surrendering themselves to the aggregate of the six enemies; it is not worthy of you to follow the lead of these unwise kings.
english translation
sa cet saMdhau na avatiSTheta, brUyAd enaM "ime zatru SaD varga vazagA rAjAno vinaSTAH, teSAm anAtmavatAM na arhasi mArgam anugantum ॥
