Arthashastra
यत् प्रसह्य हरेद् अन्यस् तत् प्रयच्चेद् उपायतः । रक्षेत् स्व देहं न धनं का ह्य् अनित्ये धने दया ॥
He should so contrive as to make the enemy accept that which another enemy is likely to carry off by force; and he should take care more of his person than of his wealth, for of what interest is perishing wealth?
english translation
yat prasahya hared anyas tat prayacced upAyataH । rakSet sva dehaM na dhanaM kA hy anitye dhane dayA ॥
