His latitude (vikshepa), reckoned from his point of declination (apakrama), is forty degrees south : Agni (hutabhuj) and Brahmahrdaya are in Taurus, the twenty-second degree ; . -

english translation

And they are removed in latitude (vikshipta), northward, eight and thirty degrees respectively. Having constructed a sphere, one may examine the corrected (sphuta) latitude and polar longitude (dhruvaka).

english translation

The planet which splits the chariot of Rohini is situated in the 17 degree of Taurus at 2°S latitude.

english translation

As in the case of the planets, calculate the apparent longitude (dåkkarma) according to the measures of day and night. For other planets, use the rule for conjunction. It will suffice to divide by the daily motion of the planet (grahabhukti) instead of the difference in daily motion (bhuktis).

english translation

When the longitude of the planet is less than its polar longitude of the constellation the conjunction is to come, when it is greater, the conjunction is past. For planets having retrograde motion, take the contrary as the conjunction.
