सोन्नतम् दिनमध्यार्धम् दिनार्धाप्तम् फलेन तु । छिन्द्याद् विक्षेपमानानि तान्य् एषाम् अङ्गुलानि तु॥
Find the length of the day (of the body which is to be eclipsed aa mentioned in ślokas 62 and 63 of the second Chapter): to this length add its half and the unnata time (or the half length diminished by the given time from the midday of the body); and by the quotient divide the Moon's latitude, diameter &c. in minutes; the results are the digits contained in the latitude &c.
