नित्यानुभूतनिजलाभनिवृत्ततृष्णः श्रेयस्यतद्रचनया चिरसुप्तबुद्धेः । लोकस्य यः करुणयाभयमात्मलोकमाख्यान्नमो भगवते ऋषभाय तस्मै ।। ५-६-१९ ।।

The Supreme Personality of Godhead, Lord Ṛṣabhadeva, was fully aware of His true identity; therefore He was self-sufficient, and He did not desire external gratification. There was no need for Him to aspire for success, since He was complete in Himself. Those who unnecessarily engage in bodily conceptions and create an atmosphere of materialism are always ignorant of their real self-interest. Out of His causeless mercy, Lord Ṛṣabhadeva taught the self’s real identity and the goal of life. We therefore offer our respectful obeisances unto the Lord, who appeared as Lord Ṛṣabhadeva. ।। 5-6-19 ।।

english translation

भगवान् ऋषभदेव को अपने वास्तविक स्वरूप का बोध था, अत: वे आत्म-तुष्ट थे और उन्हें किसी बाह्य तुष्टि की आकांक्षा नहीं रह गई थी। अपने में पूर्ण होने के कारण उन्हें किसी सफलता की स्पृहा नहीं थी। जो वृथा ही देहात्मबुद्धि में लगे रहते हैं और भौतिकता का परिवेश तैयार करते हैं, वे अपने वास्तविक हित को नहीं पहचानते। भगवान् ऋषभदेव ने अहैतुकी कृपावश वास्तविक आत्मबुद्धि तथा जीवन लक्ष्य की शिक्षा दी। अत: हम उन भगवान् ऋषभदेव को नमस्कार करते हैं। ।। ५-६-१९ ।।
