क्वापि देवमायया स्त्रिया भुजलतोपगूढः प्रस्कन्नविवेकविज्ञानो यद्विहारगृहारम्भाकुलहृदयस्तदाश्रयावसक्तसुतदुहितृकलत्रभाषितावलोकविचेष्टितापहृतहृदय आत्मानमजितात्मापारेऽन्धे तमसि प्रहिणोति ।। ५-१४-२८ ।।

Sometimes the conditioned soul is attracted by illusion personified (his wife or girlfriend) and becomes eager to be embraced by a woman. Thus he loses his intelligence as well as knowledge of life’s goal. At that time, no longer attempting spiritual cultivation, he becomes overly attached to his wife or girlfriend and tries to provide her with a suitable apartment. Again, he becomes very busy under the shelter of that home and is captivated by the talks, glances and activities of his wife and children. In this way he loses his Kṛṣṇa consciousness and throws himself in the dense darkness of material existence. ।। 5-14-28 ।।

english translation

कभी-कभी बद्धजीव प्रमादवश मूर्तिमान माया (अपनी पत्नी या प्रेयसी) से आकर्षित होकर स्त्री द्वारा आलिंगन किये जाने के लिए व्याकुल हो उठता है। इस प्रकार वह अपनी बुद्धि तथा जीवन-उद्देश्य के ज्ञान को खो देता है। उस समय वह आध्यात्मिक अनुशीलन का प्रयास न करके अपनी पत्नी या प्रेयसी में अत्यधिक अनुरक्त हो जाता है और उसके लिए उपयुक्त गृह आदि उपलब्ध कराने का प्रयत्न करता है, फिर वह इस घरबार में अत्यधिक व्यस्त हो जाता है और अपनी पत्नी तथा बच्चों की बातों, चितवनों तथा कार्यकलापों में फँस जाता है। इस प्रकार वह कृष्णभावनामृत से वंचित होकर लौकिक अस्तित्व के गहन अंधकार में गिर जाता है। ।। ५-१४-२८ ।।
