तस्मान्नरोऽसङ्गसुसङ्गजातज्ञानासिनेहैव विवृक्णमोहः । हरिं तदीहाकथनश्रुताभ्यां लब्धस्मृतिर्यात्यतिपारमध्वनः ।। ५-१२-१६ ।।

Simply by associating with exalted devotees, anyone can attain perfection of knowledge and with the sword of knowledge can cut to pieces the illusory associations within this material world. Through the association of devotees, one can engage in the service of the Lord by hearing and chanting [śravaṇaṁ kīrtanam]. Thus one can revive his dormant Kṛṣṇa consciousness and, sticking to the cultivation of Kṛṣṇa consciousness, return home, back to Godhead, even in this life. ।। 5-12-16 ।।

english translation

उन्नत भक्तों की संगति मात्र से पूर्ण ज्ञान प्राप्त किया जा सकता है और फिर ज्ञान की तलवार से सांसारिक मोहों को छिन्न-भिन्न किया जा सकता है। भक्तों की संगति से ही श्रवण तथा कीर्तन (श्रवणं कीर्तनम्) द्वारा भगवान् की सेवा में अनुरक्त हुआ जा सकता है। इस प्रकार से अपने सुप्त कृष्णभावनामृत को जागृत किया जा सकता है और कृष्णभावनामृत के अनुशीलन द्वारा इसी जीवन में परमधाम को वापस जाया जा सकता है। ।। ५-१२-१६ ।।
