Shiva Purana
सर्वतीर्थेषु यत्पुण्यं सर्वतीर्थेषु यत्फलम् । तत्फलं समवाप्नोति भस्मस्नानकरो नरः ७७ ।
A man who takes the bath of ashes derives that benefit which all holy centres accord. He gets the merit thereof.
english translation
sarvatIrtheSu yatpuNyaM sarvatIrtheSu yatphalam । tatphalaM samavApnoti bhasmasnAnakaro naraH 77 ।
