Shiva Purana
बलिदानं ततः कृत्वा भूरिभोजनमाचरेत् । ततः संप्रार्थ्य देवेशं जपं तावत्समापयेत् ५२ ।
After performing the sacrificial offering (Bali-dāna), one should conduct a grand feast. Then, after praying to the Lord of the Gods (Deva-īśvara), one should complete the recitation of the mantra (Japa).
english translation
balidAnaM tataH kRtvA bhUribhojanamAcaret । tataH saMprArthya devezaM japaM tAvatsamApayet 52 ।
