Shiva Purana
एवं क्रमेण विष्ण्वादेः पदं लब्ध्वा महौजसः । क्रमेण तत्पदैश्वर्यं लब्ध्वा चैव महात्मनः १०९ ।
Thus, by following the sequence (of spiritual practices), attaining the abode of Viṣṇu and achieving great power, and by following the same sequence, attaining the lordship of that realm and becoming a great soul.
english translation
evaM krameNa viSNvAdeH padaM labdhvA mahaujasaH । krameNa tatpadaizvaryaM labdhvA caiva mahAtmanaH 109 ।
