A childless woman who performs donations of gold, silver, and other valuable items will be blessed with a good son. Additionally, by worshipping and offering prayers to the Dikpālas (guardians of the directions) on Kṛttikā days, one attains prosperity and protection.
दिग्गजानां च नागानां सेतुपानां च पूजनम् । त्र्यंबकस्य च रुद्रस्य विष्णोः पापहरस्य च ५८ ।
Worshipping the Dik-gajās (elephants of the directions), the Nāgas (serpents), the Setupānas (bridge builders), and also worshipping Triyambaka (Lord Shiva), Rudra, and Vishnu, who is the remover of sins, brings about great spiritual benefits.
Worshipping Jñānadā (the giver of knowledge), Brahma, Dhanvantari, and the Aśvins (twin Vedic deities of health and medicine), removes diseases, death, and afflictions, and provides immediate relief from ailments.
लवणायसतैलानां माषादीनां च दानतः । त्रिकटुफलगंधानां जलादीनां च दानतः 1.16.६० ।
By donating salt, iron, oil, masoor dal (lentils), and other similar items, as well as trikatu powder, fragrant substances, and water, one attains great spiritual benefits.
