Shiva Purana
गवादीन्द्वादशानर्थान्सांगान्दत्वा तु यत्फलम् । तत्फलं समवाप्नोति द्वादश्यां विष्णुतर्पणात् ३७ ।
Propitiation of Viṣṇu on the Dvādaśī day yields the same benefit as is derived from the gift of the twelve things with ancillary rites.
english translation
gavAdIndvAdazAnarthAnsAMgAndatvA tu yatphalam । tatphalaM samavApnoti dvAdazyAM viSNutarpaNAt 37 ।
