द्वादश्यां विष्णुयजनमिष्टंसंपत्करं विदुः । श्रावणे विष्णुयजनमिष्टारोग्यप्रदं भवेत् ३६ ।

On the twelfth day (Dvādaśī), the worship of Viṣṇu is considered to be a highly auspicious and beneficial act. The worship of Viṣṇu in the month of Śrāvaṇa (during the Śrāvaṇa lunar month) is said to grant the desired results and is known to bestow health and well-being.

गवादीन्द्वादशानर्थान्सांगान्दत्वा तु यत्फलम् । तत्फलं समवाप्नोति द्वादश्यां विष्णुतर्पणात् ३७ ।

Propitiation of Viṣṇu on the Dvādaśī day yields the same benefit as is derived from the gift of the twelve things with ancillary rites.

द्वादश्यां द्वादशान्विप्रान्विष्णोर्द्वादशनामतः । षोडशैरुपचारैश्च यजेत्तत्प्रीतिमाप्नुयात् ३८ ।

The devotee shall worship twelve brahmins on the Dvādaśī day assigning them the twelve names of Viṣṇu with all the sixteen forms of service. He shall gratify the deity thereby.

द्वादश्यां विष्णुयजनमिष्टंसंपत्करं विदुः । एवं च सर्वदेवानां तत्तद्द्वादशनामकैः । द्वादशब्रह्मयजनं तत्तत्प्रीतिकरं भवेत् ३९ ।श्रावणे विष्णुयजनमिष्टारोग्यप्रदं भवेत् ३६ ।

Similarly twelve brahmins shall he worshipped after assigning them the twelve names of any deity to gratify that deity.

कर्कटे सोमवारे च नवम्यां मृगशीर्षके । अंबां यजेद्भूतिकामः सर्वभोगफलप्रदाम् 1.16.४० ।

A person who seeks prosperity shall worship Pārvatī who bestows all worldly pleasures on Mondays, Navamī (ninth) day, and in the star of Mṛgaśiras in the month of Karkaṭaka.
