सद्यादि ब्रह्म चोच्चार्य ध्यात्वा देवं परं शुभम् । उदीर्य च महामंत्रमॐकारं नादघोषितम् १६ ।
Immediately after chanting the sacred syllable 'Brahma', meditating upon the Supreme Divine, One should recite the great mantra 'Om', which is the sound of cosmic vibration.
english translation
sadyAdi brahma coccArya dhyAtvA devaM paraM zubham । udIrya ca mahAmaMtramaOMkAraM nAdaghoSitam 16 ।
hk transliteration by Sanscriptलिंगं तत्र प्रतिष्ठाप्य लिगं पीठेन योजयेत् । लिंगं सपीठं निक्षिप्य नित्यलेपेन बंधयेत् १७ ।
After establishing the Lingam there, one should connect it with a pedestal, Then, placing the Lingam with the pedestal, it should be bound with daily consecration (or offerings).
english translation
liMgaM tatra pratiSThApya ligaM pIThena yojayet । liMgaM sapIThaM nikSipya nityalepena baMdhayet 17 ।
hk transliteration by Sanscriptएवं बेरं च संस्थाप्यं तत्रैव परमं शुभम् । पंचाक्षरेण बेरं तु उत्सवार्थं वहिस्तथा १८ ।
Similarly the embodied image shall also be fixed there auspiciously. For the sake of festivals the embodied image shall be installed outside with the five-syllabled mantra.
english translation
evaM beraM ca saMsthApyaM tatraiva paramaM zubham । paMcAkSareNa beraM tu utsavArthaM vahistathA 18 ।
hk transliteration by Sanscriptबेरं गुरुभ्यो गृह्णीयात्साधुभिः पूजितं तु वा । एवं लिंगे च बेरे च पूजा शिवपदप्रदा १९ ।
The embodied image shall be taken from the preceptors or it must be one that has been worshipped by saintly men. Such an adoration of the embodied image and the phallic emblem accords the region of Śiva.
english translation
beraM gurubhyo gRhNIyAtsAdhubhiH pUjitaM tu vA । evaM liMge ca bere ca pUjA zivapadapradA 19 ।
hk transliteration by Sanscriptपुनश्च द्विविधं प्रोक्तं स्थावरं जंगमं तथा । स्थावरं लिंगमित्याहुस्तरुगुल्मादिकं तथा 1-11-२० ।
The phallic emblem is of two varieties: the stationary and the mobile. Trees, hedges etc. represent the stationary.

punazca dvividhaM proktaM sthAvaraM jaMgamaM tathA । sthAvaraM liMgamityAhustarugulmAdikaM tathA 1-11-20 ।
