सृष्टिः स्थितिश्च संहारस्तिरो भावोप्यनुग्रहः । यस्मात्प्रवर्तते तस्मै ब्रह्मणे च त्रिशूलिने 1.6.२० ।

The three-pointed-trident-bearing deity, the supreme Brahman, (i.e. Śiva) is the cause of creation, maintenance, annihilation, concealment and blessing.

english translation

sRSTiH sthitizca saMhArastiro bhAvopyanugrahaH | yasmAtpravartate tasmai brahmaNe ca trizUline 1.6.20 |
