अनेन मनुना वापि पूजयेच्छंकरं सुधीः । सुभक्त्या च भ्रमं त्यक्त्वा भक्त्यैव फलदः शिवः ४४ ।

sanskrit

The intelligent devotee shall perform the worship of Śiva with this mantra or with the Vedic mantra with great devotion and abandoning errors. Śiva accords benefits when with devotion he is propitiated.

english translation

anena manunA vApi pUjayecchaMkaraM sudhIH | subhaktyA ca bhramaM tyaktvA bhaktyaiva phaladaH zivaH 44 |
