यावद्देहं क्रियाधीनः सजीवो बद्ध उच्यते । देहत्रयवशीकारे मोक्ष इत्युच्यते बुधैः १४५ ।

sanskrit

As long as the body exists, the Jīva is dependent on activities and he is spoken of as being in bondage. But when the three forms of the physical body are under control it is called “Salvation” by the scholars.

english translation

yAvaddehaM kriyAdhInaH sajIvo baddha ucyate | dehatrayavazIkAre mokSa ityucyate budhaiH 145 |
