सहस्रेभ्यस्तथा दत्त्वाऽयुतवर्षं समश्नुते । एवं सोमादिवारेषु विज्ञेयं हि विपश्चिता ३३ ।

sanskrit

If he gives the same for a thousand brahmins he secures the benefit for ten thousand years. Similarly the benefit accrued for gifts on Monday and other days can be understood by a thoughtful man.

english translation

sahasrebhyastathA dattvA'yutavarSaM samaznute | evaM somAdivAreSu vijJeyaM hi vipazcitA 33 |
