दानशील उदारश्च पुण्यकीर्ति तपाः स्मृतः॥ तत्पुत्रो बाणनामा यत्सोऽषि शैववरस्सुधीः ॥ यस्संतोष्य शिवं सम्यग्गाणपत्यमवाप ह ॥ २२ ॥
He was charitable and generous and had a pious reputation and austerities. His son was named Bana and he was the best of the Śivas and he was very intelligent. He who satisfied Lord Śiva perfectly attained the Ganapati status.
