पृथिव्यादीनि भूतानि गच्छंति क्रमशः परम् ।। धरा पंचगुणा प्रोक्ता ह्यापश्चैव चतुर्गुणाः ।। १६ ।।

The earth and other beings gradually move to the next. The earth is said to be five times greater and the water four times greater.

english translation

pRthivyAdIni bhUtAni gacchaMti kramazaH param || dharA paMcaguNA proktA hyApazcaiva caturguNAH || 16 ||
