तप्यमानं सदाज्ञानान्निरये योऽपि शास्त्रतः ॥ सम्बोधयति लोकं तं तस्मात्पूज्यः पुराणगः ॥ ४ ॥

A Purāṇist enlightens the people through Śāstras, the people who are in distress in the hell due to ignorance. Hence he shall be worshipped.

tapyamAnaM sadAjJAnAnniraye yo'pi zAstrataH ॥ sambodhayati lokaM taM tasmAtpUjyaH purANagaH ॥ 4 ॥
