जगद्यथा निरालोकं जायतेऽशशिभास्करम् ॥ विना तथा पुराणं ह्यध्येयमस्मान्मुने सदा ॥ ३॥

The universe will go without light if the moon and the sun were not present. The same will happen if the Purāṇas too, O sage, were not.

english translation

jagadyathA nirAlokaM jAyate'zazibhAskaram ॥ vinA tathA purANaM hyadhyeyamasmAnmune sadA ॥ 3॥
