कलौ दुर्मेधसां पुंसां धर्माचारोझ्झितात्मनाम् ।। हिताय विदधे शम्भुः पुराणाख्यं सुधारसम् ।। ३३।।

sanskrit

Śiva has created the nectarine juice in the form of Purāṇa for the benefit of men of poor intellect in the Kali age who have eschewed virtue and good conduct.

english translation

kalau durmedhasAM puMsAM dharmAcArojhjhitAtmanAm || hitAya vidadhe zambhuH purANAkhyaM sudhArasam || 33||
