नान्नदानसमं दानं विद्यते मुनिसत्तम ॥ अन्नाद्भवंति भूतानि तदभावे म्रियंति च ॥ १८॥
O excellent sage, there is no other charitable gift on a par with the gift of food. All living beings originate from food. In its absence they die.
