प्रकृतिर्निर्मिता येन तप्त्वाति महदादितः ॥ ब्रह्मविष्णुमहेशाद्या नमस्तस्मै शिवाय हि ॥३१॥
Obeisance to Śiva, by whom the primordial nature, the principles Mahat etc, Brahmā, Viṣṇu, Śiva and others are created.
english translation
ब्रह्मोवाचः ॥ इत्युक्त्वा पुरतस्तस्यास्तस्थौ धर्मो जगद्गुरुः ॥ किञ्चिन्नोवाच चकितस्तत्पातिव्रत्य तोषितः॥३२॥
Brahmā said: After saying thus Dharma, the most venerable god in the universe stood in front of her, stunned but delighted at her chastity. But he did not say anything.
english translation
पद्मापि नृपकन्या सा पिप्पलादप्रिसा तदा ॥ साध्वी तं धर्ममाज्ञाय विस्मितोवाच पर्वत॥३३॥
Princess Padmā, the chaste beloved of Pippalāda, O mountain, was surprised on realising that it was Dharma and said.
english translation
पद्मोवाच ॥ त्वमेव धर्म सर्वेषां साक्षी निखिलकर्मणाम्॥ कथं मनो मे विज्ञातुं विडम्बयसि मां विभो ॥ ३४ ॥
Padmā said: O Dharma, you are the ever present witness of all activities. O lord, why did you deign to deceive me to know my mind?
english translation
यत्तत्सर्वं कृतं ब्रह्मन् नापराधो बभूव मे ॥ त्वञ्च शप्तो मयाऽज्ञानात्स्त्रीस्वभा वाद्वृथा वृष ॥ ३५ ॥
O Dharma, what has been done already does not amount to any guilt on my part. You have been cursed in vain by me but it was due to my ignorance and innate nature of woman.
