श्रूयतां चैव भो ब्रह्मन्यद्गोप्यं कथ्यते मया ॥ भवंतौ प्रकृतेर्यातौ नायं वै प्रकृतेः पुनः ॥४१॥
O Brahmā, another secret which I am going to unfold to you may be listened to. You two are born of Prakṛti but not this one (Rudra).
english translation
मदाज्ञा जायते तत्र ब्रह्मणो भ्रुकुटेरहम्॥ गुणेष्वपि यथा प्रोक्तस्तामसः प्रकृतो हरः ॥४२॥
By my command, there arises the Brahman in the frown of Brahmā. Just as the tamasic qualities are ascribed to Shiva by nature.
english translation
वैकारिकश्च विज्ञेयो योऽहंकार उदाहृतः ॥ नामतो वस्तुतो नैव तामसः परिचक्ष्यते॥४३॥
The Vaikārika is to be known as the one who is ego (ahankara), described in the form. But, in essence, he is not to be considered tamas, in name or in reality.
english translation
एतस्मात्कारणाद्ब्रह्मन्करणीयमिदं त्वया ॥ सृष्टिकर्ता भव ब्रह्मन्सृष्टेश्च पालको हरिः ॥४४॥
For this reason, O Brahmā, this shall be carried out by you. O Brahmā, you shall be the creator and Hari the protector.
english translation
मदीयश्च तथांऽशो यो लयकर्ता भविष्यति ॥ इयं या प्रकृतिर्देवी ह्युमाख्या परमेश्वरी ॥४५॥
My would-be part shall be the cause of dissolution. This goddess Umā, Parameśvarī is the Prakṛti.
