तपश्चकार स्वं तत्र पार्वती सेवने रता ॥ सखीभ्यां सहिता नित्यं प्रसन्नार्थमभूत्तदा ॥ ३१ ॥
He performed his penance there. Pārvatī engaged herself in His service continuously accompanied by two of her maids.
english translation
tapazcakAra svaM tatra pArvatI sevane ratA ॥ sakhIbhyAM sahitA nityaM prasannArthamabhUttadA ॥ 31 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptविद्धोऽऽपि मार्गणैश्शम्भुर्विकृतिं नाप स प्रभुः ॥ प्रेषितेन सुरैस्स्वात्ममोहनार्थं स्मरेण वै ॥ ३२ ॥
Although the lord Śiva was hit and wounded by the arrows of Kāma who was sent thither by the gods to enchant Him, He was not swayed at all.
english translation
viddho''pi mArgaNaizzambhurvikRtiM nApa sa prabhuH ॥ preSitena suraissvAtmamohanArthaM smareNa vai ॥ 32 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptदग्ध्वा स्मरं च तत्रैव स्ववह्निनयनेन सः ॥ स्मृत्वा मम वचः क्रुद्धो मह्यमन्तर्दधे ततः ॥३३॥
Burning Kāma there by His fiery eye, on remembering my words, the lord became angry with me and vanished from the scene.
english translation
dagdhvA smaraM ca tatraiva svavahninayanena saH ॥ smRtvA mama vacaH kruddho mahyamantardadhe tataH ॥33॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptततः कालेन कियता विनाश्य गिरिजामदम् ॥ प्रसादितस्सुतपसा प्रसन्नोऽभून्महेश्वरः ॥३४॥
After sometime, Lord Śiva quelled the pride of Pārvatī but he was propitiated by her again performing great penance.

tataH kAlena kiyatA vinAzya girijAmadam ॥ prasAditassutapasA prasanno'bhUnmahezvaraH ॥34॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptलौकिकाचारमाश्रित्य रुद्रो विष्णुप्रसादितः ॥ कालीं विवाहयामास ततोऽभूद्बहुमंगलम् ॥ ३५ ॥
Following the conventions of the world, the lord married Pārvatī after being sponsored by Viṣṇu. Then everything auspicious ensued.

laukikAcAramAzritya rudro viSNuprasAditaH ॥ kAlIM vivAhayAmAsa tato'bhUdbahumaMgalam ॥ 35 ॥
