ब्राह्मणानां गवां चैव धर्मस्य प्रतिपालकः ।। शरण्योसि सदानंत्यः सर्वेषां प्राणिनां प्रभो ।। १६ ।।

sanskrit

You are the protector of virtue, brahmins and cows. O lord, you are the shelter for all living beings and worthy of being bowed to.

english translation

brAhmaNAnAM gavAM caiva dharmasya pratipAlakaH || zaraNyosi sadAnaMtyaH sarveSAM prANinAM prabho || 16 ||

नमस्ते भगवन् रुद्र भास्करामिततेजसे ।। नमो भवाय देवाय रसायांबुमयाय ते ।। ।। १७ ।।

Obeisance to you, O lord, having the splendour of innumerable suns. Obeisance to you, the Bhava, the lord in the form of flavour and fluid.

english translation

namaste bhagavan rudra bhAskarAmitatejase || namo bhavAya devAya rasAyAMbumayAya te || || 17 ||

शर्वाय क्षितिरूपाय सदा सुरभिणे नमः ।। रुद्रायाग्निस्वरूपाय महातेजस्विने नमः ।। १८ ।।

Obeisance to you who are every thing, who are in the form of fragrant earth. Obeisance to Him of great splendour, Him in the form of fire.

english translation

zarvAya kSitirUpAya sadA surabhiNe namaH || rudrAyAgnisvarUpAya mahAtejasvine namaH || 18 ||

ईशाय वायवे तुभ्यं संस्पर्शाय नमोनमः ।। पशूनांपतये तुभ्यं यजमानाय वेधसे ।। १९ ।।

sanskrit

Obeisance to Śiva who is wind in the subtle form of the principal of touch. Obeisance to you, the lord of individual souls, the priest presiding over sacrifice; and Vedhas (the creator).

english translation

IzAya vAyave tubhyaM saMsparzAya namonamaH || pazUnAMpataye tubhyaM yajamAnAya vedhase || 19 ||

भीमाय व्योमरूपाय शब्दमात्राय ते नमः ।। महादेवाय सोमाय प्रवृत्ताय नमोस्तु ते ।। 2.2.41.२० ।।

Obeisance to you the terrible in the form of Ether with the principle of sound Obeisance to the great lord Moon, or, one accompanied by Umā; obeisance to the Active.

bhImAya vyomarUpAya zabdamAtrAya te namaH || mahAdevAya somAya pravRttAya namostu te || 2.2.41.20 ||
