मुने तुभ्यं प्रवोचंतं पृच्छते ज्ञानमुत्तमम् ॥ कुशासने सूपविष्टं सर्वेषां शृण्वतां सताम् ॥ ४१ ॥
O sage (Nārada), (you were present there and while) you were asking him questions, he was explaining wise and excellent things to you, whereas the other saintly men were listening. He was seated on a seat made of Kuśa grass.
english translation
कृत्वोरौ दक्षिणे सव्यं चरणं चैव जानुनि ॥ बाहुप्रकोष्ठाक्षमालं स्थितं सत्तर्कमुद्रया ॥४२॥
He had put his left leg over his right thigh and knee. The Rudrākṣa garland was suspended from his wrist. He was showing the Tarkamudrā (with his hand).
english translation
एवंविधं शिवं दृष्ट्वा तदा विष्ण्वादयस्सुराः ॥ प्रणेमुस्त्वरितं सर्वे करौ बध्वा विनम्रकाः ॥ ४३ ॥
On seeing Śiva like this, Viṣṇu and other devas humbly bowed to him immediately after joining their palms.
english translation
उपलभ्यागतं रुद्रो मया विष्णुं सतां गतिः ॥ उत्थाय चक्रे शिरसाभिवंदनमपि प्रभुः ॥ ४४ ॥
Lord Śiva, the refuge of saintly men, stood up and approaching Viṣṇu who had gone there along with me he performed obeisance with his head.
english translation
वंदितांघ्रिस्तदा सर्वैर्दिव्यैर्विष्ण्वादिभिश्शिवः ॥ ननामाथ यथा विष्णुं कश्यपं लोकसद्गतिः ॥ ४५ ॥
Viṣṇu and the devas made obeisance at His feet as Viṣṇu, the goal of the world, would bow to Kaśyapa.
