धन्याहं ते प्रिया जाता कामिनी सुविहारिणी ॥ जातस्त्वं मे पतिस्स्वामिन्भक्तिवात्सल्यतो हर ॥ ६ ॥
I am blessed since I became your beloved wife sporting with you. O lord, you became my husband because of your love for your devotees.
english translation
कृतो बहुसमा नाथ विहारः परमस्त्वया ॥ संतुष्टाहं महेशान निवृत्तं मे मनस्ततः ॥७॥
O lord, after sporting with you for many years I have become fully satiated and now my mind is turned away from it.

ज्ञातुमिच्छामि देवेश परं तत्त्वं सुखावहम् ॥ यं न संसारदुःखाद्वै तरेज्जीवोंजसा हर ॥८॥
O lord of gods, I wish to know the great pleasing principle whereby O, Śiva, all living beings surmount worldly miseries in a trice.

यत्कृत्वा विषयी जीवस्स लभेत्परमं पदम् ॥ संसारी न भवेन्नाथ तत्त्वं वद कृपां कुरु ॥९॥
O lord, please explain that activity which enables people, to obtain the supreme region and free themselves from worldly bondage.
english translation
ब्रह्मोवाच॥ इत्यपृच्छत्स्म सद्भक्त्या शंकरं सा सती मुने ॥ आदिशक्तिर्महेशानी जीवोद्धाराय केवलम् ॥2-2-23-१०।
Brahmā said: O sage, the primordial Goddess asked Śiva thus only for the sake of uplifting worldly creatures.
