अच्युत उवाच॥ प्रतिज्ञापूरणं योग्यं परस्मिन्पुरुषेस्ति वै॥ विचारयस्व वध्येश भवत्यात्मनि न प्रभो ॥६३॥
Viṣṇu said: Fulfilling the promise is but proper in you, the great Being. But consider, O lord, the desire to kill cannot be directed to one’s own Self.
