तस्य पुत्रो महावीरो मुनीश्वर गजासुरः ।। पितुर्वधं हि संस्मृत्य कृतं देव्या सुरार्थनात् ।। ३ ।।

sanskrit

O great sage, his son the great hero Gajāsura could not forget the slaying of his father by the goddess at the request of the gods and hence remembered that enmity.

english translation

tasya putro mahAvIro munIzvara gajAsuraH || piturvadhaM hi saMsmRtya kRtaM devyA surArthanAt || 3 ||
