हरिब्रह्मादिकानां च प्रार्थनावशतोप्यहम् ॥ सुराणामीश्वरो दूत युद्धार्थमगमं खलु ॥ ४६ ॥
O Emissary, paying heed to the request of Viṣṇu, Brahmā and others, I, though lord of all, have come here in the battle of the gods.
english translation
haribrahmAdikAnAM ca prArthanAvazatopyaham ॥ surANAmIzvaro dUta yuddhArthamagamaM khalu ॥ 46 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptपार्षदप्रवरस्त्वं हि कृष्णस्य च महात्मनः ॥ ये ये हताश्च दैतेया नहि केपि त्वया समाः ॥ ४७ ॥
Really you are the foremost of the comrades of Kṛṣṇa, the great soul. Those Daityas who had been formerly killed are not on a par with you.
english translation
pArSadapravarastvaM hi kRSNasya ca mahAtmanaH ॥ ye ye hatAzca daiteyA nahi kepi tvayA samAH ॥ 47 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptका लज्जा महती राजन् मम युद्धे त्वया सह ॥ देवकार्यार्थमीशोहं विनयेन च प्रेषितः ॥ ४८ ॥
What is there excessively shameful in my fight with you, O king? I the lord have been urged humbly to carry out the task of the gods.
english translation
kA lajjA mahatI rAjan mama yuddhe tvayA saha ॥ devakAryArthamIzohaM vinayena ca preSitaH ॥ 48 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptगच्छ त्वं शंखचूडे वै कथनीयं च मे वचः ॥ स च युक्तं करोत्वत्र सुरकार्यं करोम्यहम् ॥ ४९ ॥
Go to Śaṅkhacūḍa and tell him what I have said. Let him do what is proper. I shall carry out the taṣk of the gods.
english translation
gaccha tvaM zaMkhacUDe vai kathanIyaM ca me vacaH ॥ sa ca yuktaM karotvatra surakAryaM karomyaham ॥ 49 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptइत्युक्त्वा शंकरस्तत्र विरराम महेश्वरः ॥ उत्तस्थौ शंखचूडस्य दूतोऽगच्छत्तदंतिकम् ॥2-5-35-५०॥
Sanatkumāra said: On saying this, Śiva the great god, stopped. The emissary stood up and returned to Śaṅkhacñḍa.
english translation
ityuktvA zaMkarastatra virarAma mahezvaraH ॥ uttasthau zaMkhacUDasya dUto'gacchattadaMtikam ॥2-5-35-50॥
