सर्वेश्वर्यास्सर्वमातुर्देवप्रार्थनया पुरा ।। आसीच्छुंभादिभिर्युद्धं वधस्तेषां तया कृतः ।। ४४ ।।

sanskrit

Formerly Pārvatī, the Mother of all, the goddess of all, fought with Śumbha and others and killed them only at the request of the gods.

english translation

sarvezvaryAssarvamAturdevaprArthanayA purA || AsIcchuMbhAdibhiryuddhaM vadhasteSAM tayA kRtaH || 44 ||
