सनत्कुमार उवाच ।। अथेशानो महारुद्रो दुष्टकालस्सतांगतिः ।। शंखचूडवधं चित्ते निश्चिकाय सुरेच्छया ।। १ ।।

Sanatkumāra said: Then lord Śiva, Death to the wicked, goal of the good, decided in his mind to slay Śaṅkhacūḍa in accordance with the wishes of the gods.

english translation

sanatkumAra uvAca || athezAno mahArudro duSTakAlassatAMgatiH || zaMkhacUDavadhaM citte nizcikAya surecchayA || 1 ||
