यत्र देवादिनिखिलं चराचरमभूज्जगत्।। विस्तरात्तत्प्रवक्तुं च कः क्षमोऽस्ति त्रिलोकके।।६।।

The whole universe consisting of gods and others the mobile and immobile is born of them. Who in the three worlds can mention this in detail?

english translation

yatra devAdinikhilaM carAcaramabhUjjagat|| vistarAttatpravaktuM ca kaH kSamo'sti trilokake||6||

प्रस्तुतं शृणु वृत्तांतं शंभुलीलान्वितं च यत् ।। तदेव कथयाम्यद्य शृणु भक्तिप्र वर्द्धनम् ।।७।।

sanskrit

Listen to what is relevant to the context wherein the divine sports of Śiva too can be seen. It is conducive to the increase of devotion. I am narrating the same.

english translation

prastutaM zRNu vRttAMtaM zaMbhulIlAnvitaM ca yat || tadeva kathayAmyadya zRNu bhaktipra varddhanam ||7||

तासु कश्यपत्नीषु दनुस्त्वेका वरांगना ।। महारूपवती साध्वी पतिसौभाग्यवर्द्धिता ।। ८ ।।

sanskrit

Among the wives of Kaśyapa the excellent lady Danu was one. She was very beautiful, chaste and tenderly nurtured by her husband with all devotion and love.

tAsu kazyapatnISu danustvekA varAMganA || mahArUpavatI sAdhvI patisaubhAgyavarddhitA || 8 ||

आसंस्तस्या दनोः पुत्रा बहवो बलवत्तराः ।। तेषां नामानि नोच्यंते विस्तारभयतो मुने ।। ९ ।।

Many powerful sons were born to that lady Danu. Their names are not mentioned O sage, by the fear of dilation.

AsaMstasyA danoH putrA bahavo balavattarAH || teSAM nAmAni nocyaMte vistArabhayato mune || 9 ||

तेष्वेको विप्रचित्तिस्तु महाबलपराक्रमः ।। तत्पुत्रो धार्मिको दंभो विष्णुभक्तो जितेन्द्रियः ।।2.5.27.१०।।

One of them is Vipracitti who was very powerful and valorous. His virtuous son Dambha of self-control was a great devotee of Viṣṇu.
