कालेनाल्पेन तत्पत्नी सगर्भा भाग्यवत्यभूत् ॥ रराज तेजासात्यंतं रोचयंती गृहांतरम् ॥ ३१ ॥
Within a short time, his fortunate wife became pregnant. Illuminating the inner apartments of her abode by her brilliance she shone much.

kAlenAlpena tatpatnI sagarbhA bhAgyavatyabhUt ॥ rarAja tejAsAtyaMtaM rocayaMtI gRhAMtaram ॥ 31 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसुदामानाम गोपो यो कृष्णस्य पार्षदाग्रणीः ॥ तस्या गर्भे विवेशासौ राधाशप्तश्च यन्मुने ॥३२॥
O sage, it was Sudāmā a cowherd, one of the leading comrades of Kṛṣṇa who had been cursed by Rādhā, that entered her womb.
english translation
sudAmAnAma gopo yo kRSNasya pArSadAgraNIH ॥ tasyA garbhe vivezAsau rAdhAzaptazca yanmune ॥32॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअसूत समये साध्वी सुप्रभं तनयं ततः ॥ जातकं सुचकारासौ पिताहूय मुनीन्बहून्॥३३॥
At the proper time the chaste lady gave birth to a brilliant son. The father invited sages and performed the post-natal rites.

asUta samaye sAdhvI suprabhaM tanayaM tataH ॥ jAtakaM sucakArAsau pitAhUya munInbahUn॥33॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptउत्सवस्सुमहानासीत्तस्मिञ्जाते द्विजोत्तम ॥ नाम चक्रे पिता तस्य शंख चूडेति सद्दिने ॥३४॥
O excellent brahmin, when the boy was born there was great jubilation. On an auspicious day the father named him “Śaṅkhacūḍa."

utsavassumahAnAsIttasmiJjAte dvijottama ॥ nAma cakre pitA tasya zaMkha cUDeti saddine ॥34॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptपितुर्गेहे स ववृधे शुक्लपक्षे यथा शशी ॥ शैशवेभ्यस्तविद्यस्तु स बभूव सुदीप्तिमान्॥ ३५ ॥
In the abode of his father he grew up like the moon in the bright half. Learning all lores in childhood he became resplendent.

piturgehe sa vavRdhe zuklapakSe yathA zazI ॥ zaizavebhyastavidyastu sa babhUva sudIptimAn॥ 35 ॥
