निक्षिप्तेभ्यश्च बीजेभ्यो वनस्पत्यस्त्रयोऽभवन्॥ धात्री च मालती चैव तुलसी च मुनीश्वर ॥ ४६ ॥
Out of the seeds sown, O great sage, three plants shot up—the Myrobalan, the Jasmine and the holy basil.
english translation
nikSiptebhyazca bIjebhyo vanaspatyastrayo'bhavan॥ dhAtrI ca mAlatI caiva tulasI ca munIzvara ॥ 46 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptधात्र्युद्भवा स्मृता धात्री माभवा मालती स्मृता ॥ गौरीभवा च तुलसी तमस्सत्त्वरजोगुणाः ॥४७॥
The Myrobalan is born of the creator’s Śakti, the jasmine of Lakṣmī and holy basil of Gaurī, born of the attributes Tamas, Sattva and Rajas.
english translation
dhAtryudbhavA smRtA dhAtrI mAbhavA mAlatI smRtA ॥ gaurIbhavA ca tulasI tamassattvarajoguNAH ॥47॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptविष्णुर्वनस्पतीर्दृष्ट्वा तदा स्त्रीरूपिणीर्मुने ॥ उदतिष्ठत्तदा तासु रागातिशयविभ्रमात् ॥ ४८ ॥
O sage, on seeing the plants in the forms of ladies Viṣṇu stood up with excitement of infatuation over them.
english translation
viSNurvanaspatIrdRSTvA tadA strIrUpiNIrmune ॥ udatiSThattadA tAsu rAgAtizayavibhramAt ॥ 48 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptदृष्ट्वा स याचते मोहात्कामासक्तेन चेतसा ॥ तं चापि तुलसी धात्री रागेणैवावलोकताम् ॥ ४९ ॥
On seeing them he was deluded and his mind became overwhelmed by lust. The two plants—the holy basil and Myrobalan looked at him lovingly.

dRSTvA sa yAcate mohAtkAmAsaktena cetasA ॥ taM cApi tulasI dhAtrI rAgeNaivAvalokatAm ॥ 49 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptयच्च बीजं पुरा लक्ष्म्या माययैव समर्पितम् ॥ तस्मात्तदुद्भवा नारी तस्मिन्नीर्ष्यापराभवत्॥2-5-26-५०॥
The womanlike plant born out of the seed by the Śakti of Lakṣmī became jealous of him.
