तत्राद्भुता महादिव्या लिंगोत्पत्तिः श्रुता शुभा ।। श्रुत्वा यस्याः प्रभावं च दुःखनाशो भवेदिह ।। २ ।।

sanskrit

I have heard the wonderfully divine story of the origin of the Liṅga, the auspicious hearing of the efficacy of which destroys all miseries here.

english translation

tatrAdbhutA mahAdivyA liMgotpattiH zrutA zubhA || zrutvA yasyAH prabhAvaM ca duHkhanAzo bhavediha || 2 ||
