सुखसंतानवृद्ध्यर्थं धारापूजनमुत्तमम् ।। नानाद्रव्यैः शुभैर्दिव्यैः प्रीत्या सद्भस्मधारिणा ।। ७१ ।।

The Dhārā worship is very excellent in regard to flourishing series of pleasures. Different types of auspicious materials of worship shall be added to the water.

english translation

sukhasaMtAnavRddhyarthaM dhArApUjanamuttamam || nAnAdravyaiH zubhairdivyaiH prItyA sadbhasmadhAriNA || 71 ||

घृतधारा शिवे कार्या यावन्मंत्रसहस्रकम् ।। तदा वंशस्य विस्तारो जायते नात्र संशयः ।। ।। ७२ ।।

sanskrit

If Dhārā worship is performed with ghee continuously while a thousand mantras are repeated, the family will undoubtedly flourish.

english translation

ghRtadhArA zive kAryA yAvanmaMtrasahasrakam || tadA vaMzasya vistAro jAyate nAtra saMzayaH || || 72 ||

एवं मदुक्तमंत्रेण कार्यं वै शिवपूजनम् ।। ब्रह्मभोज्यं तथा प्रोक्तं प्राजापत्यं मुनीश्वरैः ।। ७३ ।।

sanskrit

Thus the worship of Śiva shall be performed with the mantras mentioned by me. Sages have held that brahmins shall be fed and Prājāpatya rite shall be performed.

english translation

evaM maduktamaMtreNa kAryaM vai zivapUjanam || brahmabhojyaM tathA proktaM prAjApatyaM munIzvaraiH || 73 ||

केवलं दुग्धधारा च तदा कार्या विशेषतः ।। शर्करामिश्रिता तत्र यदा बुद्धिजडो भवेत् ।। ७४ ।।

sanskrit

Milk without sugar is usually taken for the Dhārā. If the devotee is deficient in intellect and yearns for the same, sugar shall be added to milk for the sake of Dhārā.

english translation

kevalaM dugdhadhArA ca tadA kAryA vizeSataH || zarkarAmizritA tatra yadA buddhijaDo bhavet || 74 ||

तस्या संजायते जीवसदृशी बुद्धिरुत्तमा ।। यावन्मंत्रायुतं न स्यात्तावद्धाराप्रपूजनम् ।। ७५ ।।

His intellect will become as keen as that of Bṛhaspati. The Dhārā shall be continued till ten thousand mantras are completely repeated.

english translation

tasyA saMjAyate jIvasadRzI buddhiruttamA || yAvanmaMtrAyutaM na syAttAvaddhArAprapUjanam || 75 ||
