वरसमररतैर्युतं समंतादजशिवपूजनया विशुद्धवीर्यैः ।। रविमरुतमहेन्द्रसंनिकाशैस्सुरमथनैस्सुदृढैस्सुसेवितं यत् ।।७४।।

sanskrit

The cities abounded in people engaged in terrific battles. There were many Asuras whose heroism was sanctified by the worship of Brahmā and Śiva. The Asuras resembled the sun, the Maruts and Mahendra. They were sturdy.

english translation

varasamararatairyutaM samaMtAdajazivapUjanayA vizuddhavIryaiH || ravimarutamahendrasaMnikAzaissuramathanaissudRDhaissusevitaM yat ||74||
